Who are you?

I am Danny Baldwin, head reviewer here at Bucket Reviews. I am nineteen-years-old and have owned and operated Bucket Reviews since 2001, way back in my days at middle-school. I currently live in Los Angeles, California, where I am attending the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Southern California. My permanent home, however, is in Encinitas, California, a town in the north portion of San Diego County. My hobbies mainly center around film, as this site would indicate.

Who is your web host?

Dreamhost. They're relatively inexpensive ($9.95/month for the basic package), and I have never had any major problems with them. In fact, in all of the time that Dreamhost has hosted Bucket Reviews, it has only gone down for about three or four hours total. The site receives about 25,000 hits per month and has had no problem handling that level of traffic on the standard plan.

You say that you don't see many "Great Movies," but you have awarded tons of four-buckets ratings? Why is this?

My simple answer: very good movies need to be recognized properly, and a four-bucket rating shows that I strongly recommend them. A great movie is timeless, which signifies a lot more than any old four-bucket rating. In current years, I think that I have gotten tougher on films in general, so the gap between the two has become closer to being bridged.

What is your political status?

I lean far, far towards the right and have never been able to understand most liberals.

What is your favorite movie snack?

Popcorn, Coke, and Peanut M&Ms are the preferred items which I enjoy a film with.

But when I started hearing "That'll be $13.50" too much and began to realize my wallet was thinning, I had to stop with that habit. Not to mention, it was a rather unhealthy one, too...

 That's me in Washington Square Park, the pseudo-intellectual Mecca and moral Wasteland of the United States, during Summer 2006. I don't usually smile for the Camera, as evidenced here.
