When you can get a movie to seem just like a book, it's got to be good. With the special effects today, in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’s case, they could do just this. I was flat out amazed at this film; it was like watching a new version of sci-fi masterpieces like Star Wars and E.T.: the Extra Terrestrial. This feature most definitely deserved the one billion dollars it made world wide. Mr. Potter and his movie deserves a strong position on my “2001” top ten list. The two and a half hours went by so fast, and when it was done I wanted more!

The thing that amazed me was how they got the characters to look just like Rowling envisioned them. For god's sake, Daniel Radcliffe looks just like the Harry Potter on the cover of the book! Everyone was just perfect in the film, It should've won best costume design at the Academy Awards; it fully deserved it.

This kind of fantasy makes you imagine, and I love it when a movie makes you utilize your brain. It seems to inspire you to create and envision things out of the ordinary. The books as well as the movie required incredible imagination. The baby dragon with its beady little eyes, almost makes you feel like you love it, but then you quickly remember that it's a fire spitting beast! The gigantic monster in the bathroom was a special treat. People don't respect imagination or special effects today yet they play such a big role to the show that movie puts on.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone was an extraordinary film. I loved everything about it, and when I give a movie four stars, it fully deserves them. I give endless compliments to the cast, the crew, and all of the work that made it a special delight. In conclusion, Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone was a whimsical enchantment for all ages. It is available everywhere on video and DVD.
