People might think Woody Allen's sense of humor is "dead", but I beg to differ. Sure he's older, and sure, he's less active, but I'm sure that he's just as humorous. His latest effort, Hollywood Ending, captured my interest from start to finish. If you think about it, Allen is just as good at writing as Steven King. He's written maybe forty screenplays, yet he never runs out of ideas. I admit to thinking that Hollywood Ending was predictable, but it was just as entertaining as any other movie out today.

Woody always uses the same people in his movies, but I don't sense that as a bad thing. He picks the right actors and it works! Who could ask for more in a flick? The surprising answer answer is: a lot. Even though I look at Allen's movies as great productions, others don't respect them anymore. They'd rather see the hit movies: Lord of the Rings, Monsters Ball, Black Hawk Down. Sure, those films are great, but the point I'm trying to make here is that Hollywood Ending is just as entertaining.

I'll bet that you're thinking right now: "What in the world is this guy talking about? This movie is as low-budget as the 99 cent store; there is no way it is better than 'Oscar-Nominated' films!" I'll tell you the truth, it wasn't. But, as I've said before it was entertaining, and that's what most people go to see a movie for! Sure, Woody isn't exactly up-on special effects, but still makes quality movies. It was extremely predictable from scene one, but I had fun watching it!

Whether you will enjoy Hollywood Ending or not is really unexplainable. It all depends on what you look for in a movie. If your one of those up-tight people ho analyzes every scene of a film, you're not going to like it. If you go to the theatre to be entertained and laugh at the screen while kicking back; you'll absolutely love it! It's hard to put a mark on Hollywood Ending that everyone can go by. It depends on how you look at it.

I can't really say anything more! For once, I'm out of words. There is no exact rating I can put on this film, it depends on your personal preference. If you've enjoyed Woody Allen's productions in the past, you will probably get a kick out of Hollywood Ending and vice-versa. I would recommend seeing it, but not worshipping it. I wouldn't recommend this title for children, not because it is explicit, but because they wouldn't like it. I myself being thirteen enjoyed this work, but I am not the average movie-goer for my age. I'm going to leave this one up to you, I enjoyed it, but I can't say much for it, nor against it. The decision remains yours to make!
