There are so many gosh darned good movies I'm seeing. I can't believe how great they are! The Bourne Identity definitely represents this criteria, it was one of the best action movies I've seen in a long time. Matt Damon puts on a wonderful, strong, and heavily hearted performance creating tight tension in the plot, captured only by a great actor. This film made me want to smile; it just completely made my day!

You know Matt Damon really is the well-rounded, best choice for leading actor roles. He has sex-appeal, he has acting ability, and he had discipline; which are all you need in a performer. He is like the revised version of Ben Affleck. He was an excellent choice for this film, the sternness in his character created a new dimension to this films story and suspense. He brought an edge that subsequently blinded you and captured you, leading your brain through the agony of the creative storyline. I don't think such feeling could've been created by any other actor.

I especially enjoyed the cinematography in this brilliant flick. The spacious landscaping efforts the camera captured made something unknown click inside my head. It certainly wasn't the best I've seen, but it sure was delightful to watch! Their shots over Europe reminded me of the shots over New Zealand in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

The only person's performance I did not like was Julia Sitles'. I just think this isn't her type of movie, she's supposed to be in those dirty teen flicks that are repulsively horrible! Her lines were constantly rushed and didn't sound right. I know that they were supposed to have urgency within them, but she just sounded like she was in severe need of some Pepto Bismol.

Overall, The Bourne Identity was a wonderful movie. Believe me it was a relief from all the bad movies I had been seeing. Matt Damon was fabulously spectacular. But Julia Stiles wasn't so fabulously spectacular. It should be remembered as one of the best action movies of it's time. The sudden occurrences really leave your adrenalin running wild and your heart rapidly pumping. This film was one of the absolute best movies of this year!
