Memory - The mental faculty of retaining and recalling past experience. What if you didn't have this? What if you could only remember things from a certain date and its previa? Memento is about a man who can only remember things before the death of his wife. He has to make notes, take pictures, and tattoo all of the important things that he must remember or he will forget them during his sleep. The way Christopher Nolan wrote and directed this film was an incredible achievement.

The uniqueness of this film was the aspect that made it good. Without this script - it would've been nowhere. This is what makes Christopher Nolan amazing, he wrote and directed this movie; he knew what he wanted and he made it. When you can just make something exactly how you planned, it usually produces a good result. Memento definitely showed this.

To my surprise, Guy Pierce did an excellent job in this movie. I haven't really enjoyed his work in the past, but he just fit the picture in this role. Everything about his look and personality grasped this characters stereotype so well. He was the absolute right choice for this films lead.

This film really inspires me to continue reviewing the movies I do. It opened me up to the world of film just as other great movies do. It really deserves a four except I noticed some errors in various places in the screenplay, so I am forced to give it a three and a half. But, you should very well give it a try. Memento is a great movie.
